The Q-Helix International Center for Quality in Education and Research has taken another step towards developing shared microcredentials, following a meeting dedicated to new learning opportunities across the European University Alliance.

With support from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), Q-Helix partners are developing 25 microcredentials in five thematic areas: Security, Health, Environment, Smart Cities and Artificial Intelligence. These subjects reflect the alliance’s interdisciplinary approach and its commitment to making new skills accessible across its university network.

The initiative is designed for a wider audience than degree-seeking students alone. Beginning in early 2027, Q-Helix plans to make the learning opportunities available to students, university staff, and the broader Q-Helix community, as well as interested learners beyond the alliance.

The partners see microcredentials as part of a flexible lifelong-learning offer, allowing participants to develop relevant competencies through focused educational experiences. Further information on specific modules and participation opportunities will be announced as the programme develops.
